How to improve the network quality of your smartphone - Down2u

1. Check Network Quality:

Do you know that how's the network quality of that network which you are using in your smartphone? How's the network quality in your area? All this you can know easily by following the steps given below.

Settings > About > Status

So in the status option you'll see the dBm value of your network, which shows the network quality of your smartphone.
So here you'll think that,

What is dBm Value?

Let me make it simple for you, So if Go to the Settings of your smartphone, then in About sections and then in Status, if you find the dBm value of your smartphone between -50 to -79, So it means that the network quality is absolutely great. So at this dBm point you'll able to see 4-5 bars of network signals. If the dBm value is between -80 to -89, So it means that the network quality is quite good. But if this dBm value rises little more further ie between -90 to -99, So the network quality is said to be average. If the dBm value rises from -100 to -109, then it means little poor. It's possible to see 1 or 2 network signal bars on your phone. But if the dBm value is between -110 to -120, this indicates that the network quality is really very poor. At this point, it's possible to see 1 or no bars of network signals. So basically dBm Value is the Signal Strength and with the help of these values, you can check the network quality of your area and smartphone.

Well now the question arises that how to identify that which network service providers are best? I mean which sim card companies offers you best network quality? So to get the answer of this question, I visited the Open Signal website. Open Signal is a global authority which measures the consumer mobile experience. So in the latest report of Open Signal they said that Airtel will give you the best downloading speed, the best voice experience while talking, the best online video watching experience. You can visit the website and can read more about this report by Open Signal.

2. Select Better Network Operator:

Selecting a good network operator is really very difficult. It's possible that if you're Jio sim and currently Jio is facing issues in many areas. So you can opt to any networks like Airtel or Vodafone and check whether it is giving you proper network in your area.

Taking my advice, So keep two sim cards of different network operators. Due to this, you can switch to that sim card where it's network quality is good. My personal view about the sim cards is that I've used two cards ie Jio and Airtel. At some places Airtel is great and at some places Jio is awesome. So basically it varies from area to area. But almost at every place like hotels, jungles, the network quality and in the internet speed of Airtel is simply remarkable.

3. Use WiFi Calling:

Wifi calling is really very useful feature of new smartphones. Till now, only Airtel & Jio has launched this feature in India. For using this feature, you phone must be that latest. So does your smartphone supports WiFi Calling? You can get the answer of this question by simply going on Airtel website. Else simply you can check this through the Settings in your smartphone. If it is there, then simply enable it and use this feature.

As you enabled the Wifi Calling feature in your smartphone, then your wifi must be on. So if anytime you have loe network connection and you want to make calls, then your phone will take your wifi as network hub and make a call using WiFi Calling feature. What is WiFi Calling? How to use it? I'll discuss all this question in a new article. So let's continue with this one.

4. Check Network Towers in your area:

Yes, you read it right. You can know that at which places the network towers has been placed in your area. For doing this you have to just visit the app or website of the network providers sim you're using. Well if you're an Airtel user then simply you can visit the Airtel's official website and by entering the pincode of your area, you can easily get the information of the towers installed in yout area. You can also do this in the Airtel Thanks app. The steps is same for both site and app.

Talking about Jio ie to know the Jio towers installed in your area. The process is same. Visit the Jio's official website and enter your area's pin code to know that at which places the towers has been installed in your area. You can perform this with My Jio app also. The steps for doing, will be same.

So friends in this way you can improve the network quality of your smartphone. So was this article helpful to you? Let me know in the comments section below. Till then, I'm signing off, So stay tuned and stay safe...😊
